Convenient Access to Our Campus

Convenient Access to Our Campus

A productive and enjoyable school day starts and ends with a relaxed journey. Students at Chepstow House benefit from a range of convenient travel options to ensure easy access to our exceptional campus in Notting Hill. For the safety of children and their parents, our traffic wardens will be present to monitor the road outside our school during drop-off and pick-up times.

Public Transport

Our school is easily accessible via public transport, including buses and the London Underground. Within walking distance of Chepstow House are a number of public bus stops, the nearest being 2 minutes away on Ladbroke Grove; the latter have seats and shelter facilities, allowing students to wait in comfort. Ladbroke Grove Underground Station is ideally situated on both the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, providing broad access to Central and Greater London. To limit waiting times, trains run every 5 minutes in the school travel peak periods.

Travelling by public transport is additionally appealing given that children aged 5 to 15 can travel for free or at a reduced rate. For further details on child fares, please refer to Transport for London’s guidance for 5-10 and 11-15 Zip Oyster photocards.

Kiss and Drop

"Kiss and Drop" is a convenient system that supports parents of KS1 children arriving by car. Between 8:15am and 9am, parents may drop their children off at the school gate without leaving their vehicle by using the one-way system to approach Chepstow House from the Ladbroke Grove end. Friendly staff members in high-visibility vests will be waiting to usher children into the playground, meaning parents can kiss their little ones ‘goodbye’ without the hassle of trying to find parking. Children will be supervised in the playground until 8:30am, when we will allow them to enter the school building.

We kindly request that parents who will be driving to school review our Travel Information Pack, which we compiled in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Doing so will streamline the drop-off process and limit inconveniences to you and others.
