Discover More about Our Outstanding School
When can I register my child?
We strongly advise parents to register their children as soon as possible after birth for a place in our Nursery and Main School. Our inclusive policy means that all children are accepted at registration.
Is there a sibling priority policy?
Yes. Siblings of children currently being educated at the school are given priority, subject to the availability of places. In addition, a 10% discount is applied to the younger child’s/children’s fees while the oldest child is still attending school.
At what age do children join Little Chepstow?
We warmly welcome children from age 2 into our Nursery. For those turning 2 in either July or August before joining Little Chepstow in September, we may offer three sessions a week for the first term only. Any child who turns 3 in autumn can join us in September as rising 3s.
Does entry into Little Chepstow guarantee a place in Reception?
Yes. All children automatically gain places in Reception upon finishing at Little Chepstow Nursery.
Can my child do full days at your Nursery?
Yes. Once potty-trained, children at Little Chepstow can do up to 4 full days from the term they turn 3. Full days run from 8:45am to 3:00pm and places are limited. Little Chepstow also remains a sessional nursery school, and parents may choose between morning sessions, which run from 8:45am to 11:50am, and afternoon sessions from 1pm to 3:50pm.
Does Chepstow House provide for children with special educational needs?
We consider all children for admission to the school who have the ability and aptitude to access our ambitious curriculum, including those with special educational needs. During the admissions stage, we ask parents whether any special needs should be taken into consideration. Good communication between parents and Chepstow House is essential so that parents can share their knowledge and expertise about their children.
For more details, please review our Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy.
Do you have onsite outdoor facilities?
Yes. Our school has excellent outdoor facilities to accommodate sports and club activities, playtimes and learning in the natural environment. Three playground areas, a Wild Area, pitch, garden and designated Nursery playground provide ample room for stimulating physical activity and contribute to children’s health and well-being in general.
Do you have wraparound care?
We have an early drop-off time for children in Reception upwards, starting at 8:15am. We also offer an extensive club provision that children can participate in from 7:30am Monday to Friday, and until 5pm Monday to Thursday. For further details, see Extracurricular Activities.
Do you offer individual music lessons?
Yes. We support children’s interests in the performing arts, and over 80% of our students learn a musical instrument. Individual lessons are available for singing, piano, violin, cello, harp, flute, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, ukulele, drums and brass instruments.
What are your leaver destinations?
Our graduates move on to a range of prestigious day and boarding schools. The wide selection of senior school offers attained is evidence of our school’s continued ability to provide choice across the board for all children. For more details, see Leaver Destinations.
Does Chepstow House have a vibrant parent community?
