Our Safeguarding

At Chepstow House, the safeguarding of our children is the highest priority. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility at Chepstow House School. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child centred.

The list below shows the safeguarding team within school.

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead: Miss Etherington (Deputy Head)
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead: Miss Whiteside (Head of Little Chepstow Nursery)
  • Deputy Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Egerton Warburton (SENDCo)

When recruiting we follow the safer recruitment practice. All interviewing staff have been trained on safer recruitment. These practices help make sure staff and volunteers are suitable to work with children and young people. It’s a vital part of creating a safe and positive environment and making a commitment to keep children safe from harm.
