Year 4 Hockey vs Falcons
On Tuesday 26th February the year 4 girls played a hockey match against Falcons at the Linford Christie Stadium. The girls were split into two teams, Pink and Blue and played on two separate pitches. The blue team played fantastically and worked hard to maintain their positions on the pitch with Olivia and Amreeta staying up the goal end of the pitch ready to score, Freya, Ellie and Grace B-M working the midfield and passing towards the strikers and Emma and Siddiqa maintaining position in the defensive half of the pitch which meant that the team managed to stop any goals going in! The team worked together dribbling and passing across the pitch to get the ball towards goal and finished with a brilliant 3-0 win against the Falcons with Ellie being chosen by the opposition as player of the match.
The pink team got off to a strong start with a 4-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. Next the girls had the opportunity to try different positions. They worked well as a team and increased their lead to 7-1. A final score of a 9-1 win to Chepstow was very well deserved. Julia was chosen as player of the match by the other school.
