On Friday, reception celebrated Dinosaur Day! Did you know the word dinosaur comes from the Greek language and means ‘terrible lizard’? The word was coined by English paleontologist Richard Owen in 1842 and was meant to refer to the impressive size of dinosaurs rather than their scary appearance. However, what the reception children don’t have in size, they definitely make up in scare factor! The day was a roaring success, the children made such an effort with their fantastic costumes and thoroughly enjoyed their dino workshop.
