The year 7 pupils, who are also our digital leaders, attended the BETT show at the Excel centre yesterday. This is a yearly event that last over 4 days. It brings together 800+ leading companies, 103 exciting new edtech start-ups and over 34000 attendees. It is a great place to find inspiration and discuss the future of education, as well as the role technology and innovation plays in enabling all educators and pupils to thrive.
The year 7 pupils were able to have a first-hand experience by using the VictoryYVR and ClassVR Virtual reality machine. They had guided instruction on how to dissect a lifelike frog. They were also able to be pilots and test out Newton international’s full motion flight simulator. They enjoyed coding the programmable toys (car racing and robots) and even engaged in a game of robot football. It was a fun educational day for both teachers and pupils.
