This half term Reception are learning about all things creepy crawly! On Wednesday, the children had the opportunity to visit Holland Park where they searched high and low for lots of different minibeasts. Whilst using magnifying glasses, the children found centipedes, woodlice and slimy slugs, and many children were eager to pick up the wriggly worms they found underneath old tree stumps. Afterwards, the children learnt about the bugs they had found in the Ecology Centre. Did you know that there are no minibeasts with two or four legs? Well done to all Reception children for being such super explorers.
The children are looking forward to dressing up as their favourite bug on Minibeast Day on Friday 23rd November!
