After weeks of preparation, the much anticipated Quiz Night finally arrived…The School Council chose the Indian theme and the hall was awash with colourful table decorations, balloons and bunting. The night started with drinks on the mezzanine level, where parents were given the opportunity to write and post notes to their children, which were delivered the following morning. Dinner was an authentic affair, with Karma Curry providing aromatic curries, fluffy rice and homemade raita. As time went on, the atmosphere became more and more electric, everyone eagerly anticipating what questions would arise in each round. After a well contested hour and a half, hosted by Mr O’Connor, we had a clear winner. Everyone put in a gallant effort, especially in the ‘Name that Tune’ round where Chepstow children hummed (or tried to) famous songs from films, but once again, it was Mr and Mrs Laing’s table who came out on top scoring near to 100 points.
The evening was a great success, thank you to all those who came. A tip for next year? Ask Mr and Mrs Laing if you can join their table!
