As part of their transition week, year 7 visited Spun Candy for a personalised candy making workshop. The trip, designed as part of the D&T / Food Technology curriculum, gave the children an insight into the science and history behind sweet making. It was also a chance for them to explore the transition week theme of identity through the concepts of business and branding. They will be using what they learnt about Spun Candy’s marketing strategies to update the year 7 Frog page! What a good start to the academic year 2018-2019!
