Following their trip to the London Aquarium, Reception celebrated ‘Under the Sea’ day on Friday. The effort that went into the last dress up day in Reception was extraordinary! There were scary pirates, colourful mermaids and even jellyfish that lit up. Chef John cooked up a storm in the kitchen, making sea trout, flat fish and mussels for the children to try. It’s safe to say that fish isn’t Reception’s favourite food. After fish tasting, the children came face to face with live lobsters and crabs. They got to see how the crustaceans breathe and how they protect themselves against predators. Back in the classroom, they drew their own sea animal and labelled it.
