This week the KS2 children performed the Lion King to staff, children and parents in the Playhouse Theatre in Notting Hill. It was a spectacular, visually appealing, toe tapping and heart rendering performance. The performances were worlds away from their first couple of rehearsals earlier on in the year, with each child putting their heart and soul into their part. From the soloists to the group renditions, all the children should be extremely proud of themselves. What a long way Chepstow House has come, from that first ever Reception Nativity that started our performance accolade!
A huge thank you to all the teachers throughout the school who turned up every Monday evening to form the painting party, those that took on the lighting, videography and technological support, Mr Mike for the hand painted backdrop and pride rock, Mrs Muscat for the mask designs and the parents for help with the costumes. Mr Hill-Jayne and Mr O’Connor for the singing and acting direction.
And of course, Miss Norman who choreographed, staged managed, created costumes and bossed Mr Mike, not an easy task, her way through to putting on a stage musical performance that she should be incredibly proud of.
