This half term Reception are learning about “Under the Sea”.They had a wonderful Wednesday visiting the London Aquarium where they learnt all about different sea creatures and plants. The children were excited from start to finish, even the bus journey was awash with talk of the magical sea creatures they were due to see that day. A firm favourite was the huge tank in the centre of the aquarium which had four different species of shark in. In the Antarctica exhibition, the penguins showed off by diving in and out of the water, impressing the children with some nifty somersaults. At the end we all walked through the jellyfish section where they learnt that there are over 2000 types of jellyfish, 70 of which are harmful to humans!
A big thank you to all the parent volunteers who went along with Reception.
