This week Year 2 went to on their annual trip to Bushcraft, to explore a forest and learn all about the different habitats you can find outdoors. After splitting into the tribes, the children set off to find the right kinds of sticks to help make the important fire. The teachers had to do this too, although they weren’t very good at keeping their fire going and seemed to need a lot of help! Once the fires were started the children cooked some delicious burgers, followed by an afternoon learning about the importance of camouflage. One of the highlights was painting each other green and black so we could blend in with the trees and foliage in the forest! The day came to a close with forest games and learning how to set traps. Eventually we arrived back at our coaches – we were exhausted but had an amazing time.
