The Harrier Hawks were lucky to receive a visit from Mrs Templeton’s father – George. A keen birdwatcher, he told the children about some of the different types of bird life we have here in the UK. The children looked at images and learned the distinctive calls of some of these birds. Together the children built a bird box, which is now up in the wild garden awaiting a pair of blue tits and their new family. It was a great opportunity for the children to develop their knowledge and learn new skills.
