This week 12 children from Year 5 and 6 were extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to go to ‘WE Day’ at Wembley Arena. WE Day can only be described as a mix between a live music concert and a platform for inspirational speakers. Speakers included Katie Piper (author, speaker, charity campaigner and TV presenter), Musharaf Asghar (from Educating Yorkshire), Princesses Eugenie & Beatrice and Shakii (a writer and performer of poetry). They spoke about their extraordinary stories of leadership and change, hoping to inspire the next generation to make a difference. There were also performances by Tokio Myers, Alexandra Burke and The Tenors with the Kenyan Boys Choir. The atmosphere inside the arena was amazing with tens of thousands of young people singing, dancing and cheering to celebrate everyone’s achievements.
