Year 1 visited the London Museum of Transport in Covent Garden on Wednesday 22nd November where they time-travelled back to the year 1900. They saw how different it was getting around London 100 years ago compared to now. They even went inside the first ever electric underground train to meet some Victorians! Before they had trains and buses, people were pulled around by horses – the children had to dodge the horse poo to climb into an old omnibus. It was a brilliant way to bring year 1’s transport topic to life and everyone had a fantastic time!
