Remembrance Assembly

On Tuesday the Kingfisher class took the annual Remembrance Day assembly. The children learnt what the day signifies and how we observe this important event. They explained why we wear a poppy on our blazers to school and what the different colours on the poppy represent, as well as taking us back to the First World War by reading some diary extracts of soldiers living in the trenches. Year 2 will be selling poppies during school drop off for the rest of this week.
